At Jung Martial Arts, leadership begins with the ability to lead oneself. Our annual (Jidoja Camp) “Leaders Camp” gives students ages 7 and up the opportunity to strengthen both body and mind through the disciplined practice of HapKiDo and traditional Korean sword methods.
This camp goes far beyond physical skill. Students also explore the mental and emotional aspects of leadership, learning tools that help them stay calm, focused, and present in times of stress. These lessons give them not only the courage to protect themselves physically, but also the emotional strength to handle life’s challenges with balance and self-control.
In addition to HapKiDo and sword training, students also learn about personal hygiene, nutrition, and healthy living, because real self-protection begins with taking care of one’s own body and mind.
Every JMAFC youth program follows this same philosophy, blending physical discipline, mental clarity, and emotional resilience — to help each student develop strength of body, focus of mind, and calmness of spirit. That is what our Dojang has become known for, and that is the spirit of 지도자 (Jidoja) — the true leader.
