Saturday, January 4th, marked an awesome start to the new year as we hosted our first belt grading of 2025! Six incredible kids, ages 6 to 11, showcased not only their martial arts skills but also their dedication, resilience, and discipline.

From concept understanding, to board breaks, these young martial artists impressed the Black Belt review board every step of the way. Each one of them demonstrated their age-appropriate skill sets with confidence, and enthusiasm that set the tone for a fantastic HapKi year ahead.

The kids 8+, they were given a choice of boards and every single one of them chose to challenge themselves, stepping out of their comfort zones. They struck each with power and precision, using correct technique and breath coordination, proving that a calm mind and determined spirit can achieve anything.

Every moment was a lesson in perseverance. Even when the board didn’t break on the first try, there was no hesitation, no giving up. Each child dug deep, adjusted their approach, and struck again until they succeeded.

This experience is about so much more than belts. It’s about building the foundation for a life filled with focus, strength, and inner peace. These young martial artists are already applying these lessons beyond the walls of our dojang, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Here’s to more breakthroughs, both on and off the mats, in 2025!
Well done everyone! ♥🙏👊
